Hubert Spiewak’s “Take Your Time” is a design piece centred around solving practical problems, in this case, time and movement in elevators. Illustrating the traversal in an interesting way, it utilises progressive animation, displayed on a large screen inside the elevator to augment the experience by displaying data and statistics in a different way. The design utilised 3D rendering to create a mockup of the practical application of the design.

“Sometimes less is more”

Hubert Spiewak targeted his research around video gaming culture along with incorporating data from pandemic trends. He worked around a wide demographic of people, all with different tastes, catering the design specifically, using neutral and minimalistic design along with contrast to create a design that’s vibrant, whilst not being distracting. Taking design inspiration from retro computers, and blending the old with the new, whilst honouring technological progress.
