Zoom Boom is inspired by the anxieties surrounding beauty standards, and the desire to look perfect on camera. With her research showing that cosmetic surgery (including fillers) becoming more popular than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic (especially with the increasing popularity of videoconferencing services like Zoom) Jenny Brown‘s illustrations aim to encourage body confidence and spread the message that it’s okay to look natural.

Brown has researched and developed character designs, experimenting with digital illustration and traditional brush strokes as well. She also created a final poster design, which portrays her character and includes encouraging typography.
