Fashion tribes inspire, and the way people choose to dress is the inspiration for RAWmag. The magazine follows individuals and their expression of personal identity through their style choices. With the Covid 19 lockdown limiting print possibilities, Emily Summerscale’s publication became a digital proposition as she used her mix of skills, which include digital marketing, advertising, graphic design, photography and styling to develop a magazine as unique as its subject matter – as individuals resist ‘fitting in’ so RAWmag’s unique aesthetic derives from raw, paper-based scans mixed with digital edits. “I wanted to highlight that stripping your style back and dressing for you is as important as keeping with the idea of a particular aesthetic”.
As well as experience in the commercial sector, Summerscale’s experience includes the creation of graphics for the immersive fashion event ‘In Full Colour’ for John Lewis & Partners.
