THE ‘SACRED’ PUBLICATION WAS CURATED TO GLORIFY PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE FEMALE IDENTITY WHILST CELEBRATING + EXPLORING THE FEMALE FORM. ‘SACRED’ IS DEVOTED TO EXPLORING THE INTERSECTION OF CHRISTIANITY, ART AND FASHION. WE BELIEVE THAT ART HAS THE POWER TO INSPIRE + UPLIFT, AND WE SEEK TO SHOWCASE WORKS THAT EXPRESS THE BEAUTY + DEPTH OF THE RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE. THIS THEME ALIGNS BECAUSE IT’S ONE OF THE MOST HISTORICAL HUMAN CONSTRUCTS AND IT EXPLAINS HOW THE FEMALE PERSPECTIVE IS POWERFUL + IMPORTANT. FEMALE BODIES CREATE LIFE AND DESERVE RESPECT SO BY PORTRAYING THE FEMININE IN A ‘SACRED’ LIGHT IT WILL HIGHLIGHT THE IMPORTANCE OF IT.

THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS PUBLICATION CAME FROM RESEARCHING THE CHRISTIAN BELIEFS AND VALUES, MAINLY FOCUSING ON THE IDEA THAT MIND IS STRONGER THAN MATTER. WHAT WE BELIEVE IS WHAT MANIFESTS INTO OUR REALITY SO IT’S IMPORTANT THAT WE FOCUS ON POSITIVES. BEAUTY IS AN EMOTION; IT ISN’T A PHYSICAL THING – IT’S SOMETHING YOU FEEL. SO, IF IT’S SOMETHING YOU FEEL THEN IT’S SOMETHING YOU CAN CONTROL. EVERYONE’S PERCEPTIONS AND PREFERENCES ARE DIFFERENT SO IT’S UNFAIR TO SET A STANDARD IDEAL – WE ARE BEAUTY. WE EXPERIENCE IT. WE EMBODY IT.

THE DESTROY BRANDING THAT’S SEEN THROUGHOUT IS A CAMPAIGN THAT SOPHIE HARDY HAS ALSO BEEN CREATING AND THIS PUBLICATION WILL BE PART OF THE INITIAL MOVEMENT FOR IT. THIS CAMPAIGN AIMS TO DIFFER BY FOCUSING ON THE ATTITUDE THAT WE AS A SOCIETY AND AS INDIVIDUALS HAVE TOWARDS CONVENTIONAL BEAUTY INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON APPEARANCE. THERE IS ALSO A PODCAST AND PROMOTION VIDEO TO BE READY TO BE RELEASED AS PART OF A PACKAGE.
