AWARE

Following the recent pandemic, the demand for more independence and convenience of at-home monitoring has become even more pressing. AWARE is a place where people can take control of their health in a variety of ways, from tracking daily general health to chronic disease management, through AWARE’s app and accompanying devices.

In the UK, there are over 3.9 million diabetics, many of whom use inconvenient glucose testing devices, but more than half of them do not test regularly enough to effectively manage their blood sugar. The AWARE Watch was created to address the demand for a non-invasive glucose monitor.  The watch continuously tracks glucose levels using Raman spectroscopy and infrared light, among other features such as calculating insulin, tracking exercise and meals, and informing the user of hypo/hyperglycemic attacks via light and haptics. All of their data is saved in the app and analysed to create a thorough profile that tracks their glucose levels against their calorie intake.

Both the app and the watch provide a high level of personalisation, from interchangeable straps to which app functions are displayed, all to make it the user’s own.
