Luft is a compact kitchen air purifier particularly designed for people living in rented accommodation that does not have existing built-in kitchen extraction, or the existing extraction is not adequate. Luft has been specifically designed for use in the kitchen as this is where the most severe levels of indoor air pollution are normally present.  

Luft uses internal sensors to check air quality and adjust purification power based on airborne pollution levels. A companion app allows the user to track current and past air pollution data and warnings can be sent through the app alerting the user that pollution levels are dangerous and purification should be used. 

A large part of this project surrounded the testing I completed to ensure Luft made a significant difference to indoor air quality compared to doing nothing, using a recirculating kitchen extractor, or opening a window. I completed thorough testing through different cooking scenarios to ensure the highest levels of purification for the size of the product.
