Pulp is a solution to excessive paper waste. According to the EPA, only 66% of waste paper and cardboard was thrown in the recycling bin, and only 40% of that can actually be recycled. This is mainly due to contamination such as placing the wrong materials in the wrong bins, or when materials are not cleaned properly. This is often referred to as “aspirational recycling”, where the consumer is attempting to do right by throwing something in the recycling bin but ends up ruining an entire batch of waste. Many companies simply either burn or landfill contaminated waste as it is the cheapest option. By taking the issue back to the source, thousands of tonnes of paper can be recycled efficiently and effectively.

Dylan Sykes designed Pulp to allow customers to use their waste paper to make more fresh paper, cutting out the need for any transportation or industrial processing, creating a more environmentally friendly response.
