“Chambre de Souffrance et de Plaisir” is an ambitious site specific installation piece by “Whithney Siobhan Mary Azah Rabord” created in response to recent heartbreak. The room is a recreation of her own bedroom at home and is a her way of showing the audience a glimpse into her own personal world. With this recent heartbreak, Rabord’s bedroom has been a space of safety and comfort for her to be able to work through her emotions in peace. She has also been a grand lover of lying in bed and resting and believes her bedroom is one of, if not, the best place on earth. With all her earthly possessions in said bedroom it’s no wonder she holds it in high regard and has deemed it the perfect source point for this piece.
