Silent Escape

Speaking without a voice

In an invisible cage

Here, the soil beneath.

There, the sky.

From this bruised earth

Springs again.

Blurring the boundaries

Of this quiet place.

“Keep looking up” he said.

So, I turned to face the air and light.

Escaped-

Took silent flight.
