‘How can furniture design help to raise awareness and reduce the effects of carbon emissions through sustainable manufacturing?’

A modular shelving system that pushes new ways of thinking when it comes to Furniture Design and, more specifically, manufacture. The wave structure in the laminated plywood shelving component gives 6mm of material the equivalent strength to an 18mm sheet of plywood. This corrugated design also lends itself well for shipping and compact packing as the pieces can simply stack and interlock together. The modular design allows for both open and closed storage options increasing the usability of the system.
